THE HEALING POWER OF SOUND
Resources for Learning and Practice
SOUND AND MUSIC EXIST ON A CONTINUUM
Both sound and music consist of sound waves which vibrate at different frequencies. We receive these frequencies not just with our ears, but through our bodies as well. Just as listening to a piece of music or humming a tune can instantly change our mood, so too can vocalizing single vowel sounds as we exhale - something called toning - immediately shift our body and mind to a more harmonious state of being.

SERVICES AND RESOURCES
A Global Mental Health Crisis
We are currently experiencing a Global Mental Health Crisis. As a mental health professional, I have seen how incredibly helpful sound-based interventions can be to individuals and groups that I have worked with in different countries throughout the world. It is my fervent hope and mission to help accomplish, that knowledge about these interventions will grow quickly in the coming years so that individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma and other mental health issues, as well as groups of people experiencing trauma from war, natural disasters or displacement as refugees, can be among those who benefit from the immediate and pronounced positive calming, balancing and regulating effects of sound-based interventions.
" The sound of your own voice is the perfect instrument for your own healing."
